The prestigious AM Awards 2019 took place last night at the ICC in Birmingham, was cap hpi were crowned supplier of the year.

The supplier of the year category, a new addition to AM’s awards in 2019, sought to find the perfect partner for motor retailers. The award criteria entirely captures cap hpi’s ethos, where the products and services are reliable, innovative and ambitious, and support motor retailers to become more efficient and effective.

The award truly reflects how the automotive industry considers cap hpi as both judges and car retailers voted, with judges remarking, “Whether vehicle clocking, the challenge of accurate vehicle valuations or the introduction of the Worldwide harmonised Light vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), cap hpi data and innovations helped retailers to tackle various market squeeze points in 2018.”

In dealer testimonials, Darren Ardron, managing director, Perrys, said: “I think the biggest thing for me is better data capture, because this is, in effect, real-time through cap hpi. That’s the real big plus for me.”

Alex Jones, head of marketing and digital at Carbase, said cap hpi’s data and technology had helped to “expedite the part-exchange process, making it efficient and profitable while building trust with the customer”.

Wendy Swaine, head of sales (retail) at cap hpi, collected the award, said afterwards, “We are delighted to win this award and will continue to support motor retailers throughout 2019 and beyond.
